Community Benefit Fund consultation has now concluded

The first stage of the Morecambe Offshore Windfarm Community Benefit Fund consultation has now concluded. The Morecambe project team would like to thank everyone who took part in the consultation and completed the online survey.

The survey ran from 2 March 2026 to 22 May 2026, and we were pleased to receive a strong level of engagement throughout the consultation period, with a total of 149 responses submitted. The feedback reflected a broad range of views and valuable insights on how the Community Benefit Fund (CBF) could be structured and prioritised to best support local communities.

Updated CBF consultation timeline and next steps

Following a review of the wider project programme, we have revised the CBF consultation timetable to align with the updated project timeline. The consent decision for the Development Consent Order (DCO) application for the Transmission Assets has been deferred from May to September 2026.

While the Community Benefit Fund is not a material consideration within the DCO application process, aligning the next stages of consultation with the revised project timeline will help ensure continued meaningful engagement with stakeholders and local communities as the project progresses.
